Orion - a brief tour
Orion is a classic constellation. From ancient egypt to the ancient greeks to the vikings - Orion has been both a point of reference and of myth.
When you next look up at the night sky in autumn and winter, see if you cannot find Orion - and try and grasp what beuty and wonders you are really looking at. It is so much more than tiny spekcs of twinkling lights. In this video I'm trying to give a brief description of some of what you would be looking at. It is my hope that it will spark some interrest.
The night sky is so much more interresting when you know something about what you're looking at.

The Crab Nebula
Переглядів 30 тис.14 років тому
The Crab Nebula is an amazing object. The remnant of a supernova, it is the first such confirmed. It is also one of the first known pulsars identified. Not only a favorite object for professional and amateur astronomers alike, it has proven an invaluable help in solar system astronomy as well. Helping determining atmospheric density and thickness for several planetary moons. This video was made...

Loved the video. Astronomy is soo fascinating!! In ancient times the stars in Oriens belt were called the 3 kings. They point to an Eastern star , the dog star, which is the brightest star in the sky.

7:58: "It lights up because it is being ionized by local stars", stars that are light years away but are in the same web of light years long and light years wide electrical filamentary sheets much like what one sees when viewing the Northern lights (aurora borealis) current sheets. The filamentary web is what causes all starsr to glow.

Betelgeuse is obviously on a different electrical circuit than that of Rigel. They are apparently 200 light years apart. The universe is indeed Electrically charged. Those nasty tiny protons and electrons are everywhere.

Orion is my favorite area of the sky to observe. So much to see and splitting the many double stars are good challenges, especially the Trapezium inside M42. I've managed E and F a couple of times through a 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain on clear cold nights. Nice video, I loved the music,

It’s Hilarious how So Called Astronomer’s,will tell us how a Star is “This Size” & “This Old” & “This Many Light Years Away”….when we Really DONT Know ! Funny how a Human Anywhere from 20 to 80 yrs Old will Try to Tell Us these things about Stars,& We Follow Right Along with it….like Sheep🤦‍♂️….Nobody Really Knows Anything about these Things We call Stars😒

The cross of Christ will be the science and the song of the redeemed through all eternity. In Christ glorified they will behold Christ crucified. Never will it be forgotten that He whose power created and upheld the unnumbered worlds through the vast realms of space, the Beloved of God, the Majesty of Heaven, He whom cherub and shining seraph delighted to adore,-humbled himself to uplift fallen man; that he bore the guilt and shame of sin, and the hiding of his Father’s face, till the woes of a lost world broke his heart, and crushed out his life on Calvary’s cross. That the Maker of all worlds, the Arbiter of all destinies, should lay aside his glory, and humiliate himself from love to man, will ever excite the wonder and adoration of the universe. As the nations of the saved look upon their Redeemer, and behold the eternal glory of the Father shining in his countenance; as they behold his throne, which is from everlasting to everlasting, and know that his kingdom is to have no end, they break forth in rapturous song, “Worthy, worthy is the Lamb that was slain, and hath redeemed us to God by his own most precious blood!” GC88 651.2 There, immortal minds will contemplate with never-failing delight the wonders of creative power, the mysteries of redeeming love. There will be no cruel, deceiving foe to tempt to forgetfulness of God. Every faculty will be developed, every capacity increased. The acquirement of knowledge will not weary the mind or exhaust the energies. There the grandest enterprises may be carried forward, the loftiest aspirations reached, the highest ambitions realized; and still there will arise new heights to surmount, new wonders to admire, new truths to comprehend, fresh objects to call forth the powers of mind and soul and body. GC 677.2 All the treasures of the universe will be open to the study of God’s redeemed. Unfettered by mortality, they wing their tireless flight to worlds afar-worlds that thrilled with sorrow at the spectacle of human woe and rang with songs of gladness at the tidings of a ransomed soul. With unutterable delight the children of earth enter into the joy and the wisdom of unfallen beings. They share the treasures of knowledge and understanding gained through ages upon ages in contemplation of God’s handiwork. With undimmed vision they gaze upon the glory of creation-suns and stars and systems, all in their appointed order circling the throne of Deity. Upon all things, from the least to the greatest, the Creator’s name is written, and in all are the riches of His power displayed. GC 677.3 And the years of eternity, as they roll, will bring richer and still more glorious revelations of God and of Christ. As knowledge is progressive, so will love, reverence, and happiness increase. The more men learn of God, the greater will be their admiration of His character. As Jesus opens before them the riches of redemption and the amazing achievements in the great controversy with Satan, the hearts of the ransomed thrill with more fervent devotion, and with more rapturous joy they sweep the harps of gold; and ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands of voices unite to swell the mighty chorus of praise. GC 678.1 “And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” Revelation 5:13. GC 678.2 The great controversy is ended. Sin and sinners are no more. The entire universe is clean. One pulse of harmony and gladness beats through the vast creation. From Him who created all, flow life and light and gladness, throughout the realms of illimitable space. From the minutest atom to the greatest world, all things, animate and inanimate, in their unshadowed beauty and perfect joy, declare that God is love. GC 678.3 I highly recommend 'Conflict of the Ages' series of five books by Christian Author Ellen G. White (Authentic Seer/Prophet of God)..... "The Great Controversy between Christ and Satan" Ellen G.White, 1888, rev.1911

I saw a UA-cam video once where a guy said a friend of his that used to work at area 51 pointed to the three belt stars and said two of the stars were where the good aliens are from, and the other one the bad aliens. He stayed mum after that but it's always stuck with me when I’m looking up.

Fallen groups, The Renegade Pleiadians, And their comrades of Reptilians. They fell down from the sky, And came from Orion. They landed on Gaia, You saw them as gods, And gave them your love. They live in the shadows now, They feed off of your low vibrations. Their agendas work against you, They fight their cosmic brethren. They love to hate, They love disarray. Many of you are asleep, But many are waking up. Soon you will know the truth, Soon you will combat their dark work. Your cosmic family awaits you, For ascension is upon your race. You must understand the Law of One, And not be in service to self. Just as Vrillon helped you years ago, Many like me are aiding humanity. We love you brothers and sisters, We will guide you in this process. We are here for you, and we love you.

I first saw this video when I was 7 years old, watching it again after so many years floods my mind with memories of how much I wanted to study every star in in the sky back then. It honestly, makes me regret about working in this crazily overated society, I'm 19 now and watching this video suddenly reignited my passion for looking up in a dark void and seeing light; Especially, in the hemisphere where Orion lies. Thanks Michael for making this video possible.

This is an amazing and inspired video by its makers. The Arabic music in it which launches this video was absolutely beautiful and truly reflected the experience of the human mind and spirit delving into the depths of the star-studded Space in which we all dwell for our own brief moment in the cosmos. But here's what I would like to add on the subject of the rest of the music here: The sound technicians should erase the other music that follows afterwards, especially towards the end when it becomes loud and unbearable, and is counter to the spirit of this video. They should replace it with the Arabic song which launched the video in the beginning, and which best exemplifies the Majesty of the Cosmos we are experiencing here. But even the Arabic song should not continue unabated, and should be used sparingly, receding and coming back to the fore at certain points. This will make this video one of the most memorable experiences for our eyes and mind. I am an atheist, but it is at moments like this that one may allow the idea of God to stay awhile for the duration.
